Positive Profile Awards
On Wednesday 25th January 2017 InSpire will be hosting their AGM followed by the 2017 Positive Profile Awards.
The Positive Profile Awards brings local people together to celebrate and acknowledge young people living in Southwark, for their outstanding achievements over the past year.
The 2017 Positive Profile Awards is being organised and hosted by young people. Young people will be trained up in events management and will take the lead in all aspects of event delivery, including decorations, hosting and entertainment, shortlisting of awards, stewarding, and of course the clean up afterwards.
In previous years, over 100 people have attended the showcase event celebrating young people’s achievements in academic performance, caring for others, community development, social enterprise, overcoming adversity, performance and visual arts, sports, partnership working and an achievement of the year award.
The InSpire AGM will start at 6pm followed by The Positive Profile Awards which will take place from 6:45-9pm (doors open at 6pm) at InSpire, The Crypt at St Peters on Liverpool Grove SE17 2HH. We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of lively entertainment, a showcase of local talented young people, Refreshments and a true community atmosphere. It’s sure to be an evening to remember.
This is an invitation only event and you will not be able to attend without a ticket!
Young people can be nominated by their community and their peers, the closing date for nominations is midnight of Thursday 22nd December 2016, and the awards evening will take place on Wednesday 25th January 2017.

Please note: you can nominate as many young people as you like, for up to 3 categories each, but please use a new form for each nominee. Winners will be decided by a specially selected panel of young judges & youth professionals!
Achievement of the Year
Anything you think is an outstanding achievement from January 2016 – December 2016
Participation and skills; apprenticeships, projects, training courses, school, college or university work
Caring for Others
Caring for family members, friends, neighbours and community
Active in engaging with/or starting activities that improve the community in some way
For achievements in business, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation
A young person who has become a role model and inspiration against all odds
Commitment and/or excellence in dance, drama, theatre, music, songwriting and alternative performances.
Commitment and/or excellence in visual arts, design, creative, graphic, animation, clothing, upholstery etc
For people or groups working collaboratively, minimum of two nominees
An example of individual/ group participation and commitment, organising events, leading teams, etc
